How does cod liver oil take effect?
Cod liver oil has a strengthening effect above all in children. Cod liver oil is especially recommendable during the cold winter months since it strengthens the body's immun-defences against outer influences which are hazardous to the health.
Vitamin A is a fat-soluble vitamin and it is of decisive importance to keep your skin and mucous membranes, eyes and metabolism in good health (see vitamin A capsules). A lack of vitamin A doesn't only result in sight defects but also in illnesses of skin and liver.
Vitamin D is responsible for the storing of calcium and phosphorus in the bone tissue. It protects against disturbances of growth of the bones such as they appear in rickets. This illness is attributed to a lack of vitamin D. Children who are still in a growing phase are particularly endangered.

Each capsule contains 500mg of cod liver oil with 425 I.U. of vitamin A and 42.5 I.U. of vitamin D3.
